Well done, Caroline! It’s so beautiful, and such a lot of knitting.

I can just imagine how it would look draped around you. Absolutely wonderful – would you wear it to my wedding (if it every happens…)?

Goodness gracious!! That is stunning. Lace in a large piece like that is something I haven’t tried yet, but seeing this makes me want to order the pattern now! I just love it. Congrats!

Breathtaking. What a nice blocking job too. Do you think it was the cornstarch?

Completely awesome, Caroline. How many knitting hours, would you say, does the LOTSS represent?
It’s very beautiful! I’m envious of the shawl, and envious of your stick-to-itiveness!

Omigod, how many hours. I have no idea, some weeks I worked on it almost a solid hour per day, and some weeks I never touched it. What boggles my mind is thinking about how many stitches. Each of the two borders is 56 rows, repeated 3 times, 116 stitches across. Almost 39,000 stitches by my calculations. Then, the points, there are about 130 at 12 rows each, between 10 and 16 stitches per row. Maybe another 20,000 stitches. I forget how many rows there are in the center, but at this point I just faint.
